Typically,
the promotional embroidery market can be pretty mundane.
Time and time again clients tend to want embroidered logos
for left chest placement and never think “outside the box"
sort to speak. However, we are going to look at a variety
of ways to help give your clients new fresh ideas on how
to "Jazz up" their apparel from the traditional
left chest design. We examine these ideas in cooperation
with the Virtu Apparel brand (www.virtuapparel.com)
If
your client is not opposed to playing around with the logo,
you might look to current retail fashions trends to for
ideas on how to present a new look. On the left we have
a basic corporate logo and on the right we designed a logo
with a more retail look. Next, we took the Virtu crest and
sewed a tone on tone and again in a metallic thread using
a hand cut appliqué technique to give a dimensional and
youthful look and feel.

So
your client is not willing to play around with their logo?
Not a problem! Simply look for other things that represent
or are associated with the company i.e mascot, a tag line
or some other entity that is connected in some way to the
brand. Now let's see some ideas in action.

Embroidery
- Placement: bottom left of Polo |
Above,
we placed the tagline "Wear your Ingenuity" in
a not so traditional place the bottom front of the garment
once again helping draw the eye to the garment. Below, we
did two Virtu Lions. The red lion was placed on the right
chest to counter balance the Virtu logo on the left chest.
Also, for this lion we used a special fill pattern inside
the lion that says "VIRTU" to give a textured
look. On the silver lion we did a distressed foil screen-print
on the back of a hoodie. These are just a couple ideas to
add a new feel to garment to draw attention to the brand.
